The Agarwood Oil From The Aquilaria Tree Possess Anti-Cancer Activity
Scientist have observed that the oil obtained by distillation of Agarwood (Aquilaria tree) possess potential anti-cancer activity towards MCF-7 breast cancer cells.
Analysis of Agarwood oil against MCF-7 (breast cancer cells) with oil concentration at 44 μg/ml was able to inhibit 50% of control cell growth.
In another observation scientist found that the agarwood essential oil caused reduction of the cell number in both the cell viability and attachment assay suggesting a cumulative effect of the cell killing, inhibition of the cell attachment and or causing cells to detach. The agarwood essential oil showed IC50 value of 900 μg/ml towards the cancer cells."

How miraculous and wonderful is the word mentioned more than 1400 years ago, "Treat with Indian incense (oud al-Hind), for it has a healing for seven diseases; it is to be sniffed by one who has throat problems, and it should be put into one side of the mouth by one suffering from pleurisy (inflammation)."
(Hadith-Sahih Al Bukhari, Vol.7, Book 71, Hadith No. 596)
